My first encounter with NYC was in 1992, while on vacation I fell in love with the city. After some careful thinking I finally relocated to New York in 1996. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. New York is an amazing city and now I don’t think I could ever live anywhere else.

I started my career as a hairstylist graduating beauty school in February 1981, in Los Angeles, CA. I then went back to Mexico where I stayed several years working at some of the top salons, honing my skills and getting involved with various charities, fashions shows, etc.

I started assisting at the prestigious Louis Licari Salon, and after that, spent five years managing a salon in Rockefeller Center. Currently I am working on Madison Ave., on Manhattan’s upper eastside.

My career has taken me to many exciting places, exposing me to the ever-changing trends of the fashion and beauty industry, where I remain on the cutting edge. I’ve worked the NYC Fall Fashion Week runways, for such top designers as Badgley Mischka, Benhaz Sarafpour, Diesel and Jeffrey Chow.

I’ve worked editorial shoots for Vanity Fair, People En Español, etc. and I’m personally requested for hair and make-up to People’s Group Editor during appearances at various awards shows, including the Oscars, Emmys, Screen Actor’s Guild Awards and Grammys, to name a few.

I’ve also worked personally with the editors of Real Simple and In Style magazines, as hair and make-up stylist for the Managing Editor and Fashion Director for such events and appearances as the Golden Globes, The Today Show, The View, and the Early Show. I was a member of the prominent styling team for models participating in the In Style Fashion Show televised on The View, with the likes of HRH Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, actress Rosanna Arquette and actor Matthew Modine.

One of my current projects includes designing and styling the look for actress Olivia D’Abo in the upcoming feature film “Sweet Lorraine."
